Captain Dillian,

Dear Sir
We got Mr Arendell to Telegraph to Goldsboro N. C. To Stop Henry Clay as we were his Bondsmen for his appearance at Court  Henry Clay. run away. and left us the bond to pay. He never was given up to the Sheriff. It was all a friendly act on the part of Mr Arendell towards us with no Intentions to Injure Henry Clay. We paid all the cash.

Mr. Arendell attended to it for us free of charge.  anything we can do for him we are Very willing to do it. it is our desire that Mr A. be relieved of any further, trouble concerning the 1 Box.

We being also clored request your power to be exercised in our behalf. as well as Henry Clay's And we dont want any further expense attached as we are poor Men & have paid Enough already
