[W 330 ENCL]

Lexington N. C. Decr. 26/67
Rev F. A. Fisk Supt. Education
Raleigh N. C.

Dear Sir
We the undersigned do pray for a continuance of the Freedmans Bureau, we are Satisfied that no change can be made for the better, and that nothing can meet the wants of the freedman, nor secure him in his rights, or stimulate him to exertion, so well as that institution has under the management of Col. W. F. Henderson, he has established over ten schools, has made considerable Sacrifices, and richly deserves the hearty approval of every lover of downtrodden humanity, we beg humbly for his reinstatement.

And your petition will ever pray
