At Leland Cornus nuttallii and Ceanothus cordulatus were first seen. [[underline]] Wolf Creek [[/underline]] A few patches of Ceanothus cuneatus ^[[& thyrsiflorus]] and Arctostophylus [[space]] grow on hot slopes and a few Pinus ponderosa & Sugar pines & Quercus kellogia?, but most of the timber is douglas spruce, with some Abies loweana [[strikethrough]] ?. Pinera [[/strikethrough]], Acer macrophylla & Alder. [[strikethrough]] Tunnel No. 8 [[/strikethrough]] After passing through tunnel No. 8 the timber is mostly Pseudotsuga and Abies loweana until we come out into the more open valley, where a few Pinus ponderosa & sugar pines & Libocedrus are seen.
