I Edward Rouzee of the County of Essex do acknowledge myself hold and firmly bound unto Susanna Faver of the aforesaid County her heirs Exors admors or assigns in the Last and full sum of ten pounds current money of Virginia to be paid to the Laid Susanna Faver her heirs Exors admors or assigns on or before the first day of January one thousand Eight hundred and nine it being for the hire of a negro man named Jacob which Said negro is to be returned Cloathed [sic] as usual and for payment whereof well and truly to be made I bind myself my heirs Exors ^and admors firmly by these presents in the penal Sum of twenty pounds Like money. witness my hand and Seal this 28th day of October 1808 Witness Elizabeth M Rouzee
