chill of winter in the air. We woke up Sunday morning to find it 19° outdoors and 24° in cabin. But a good fire in the fireplace soon remedied that and it was 77° by breakfast time. And, oh, how we did murder those steaks, and beans, and dogs, and bacons, and rolls, and coffees on the four occasions of our meals! It was a very good weekend but I still keep thinking of how glorious it would have been in Kentucky, where 'de moon shines brightest. I believe if I had thought of the full moon (something I overlooked for some reason) I should have come.

NOTE: I've decided that this material on All Souls Church can be used to better advantage in the section entitled "Religious Life," so I'm appropriating it for that purpose. FHC 11/18/79.
