Transcription Notes:
The faint math problems written in the lower part of the page look like they've been done with pencil, not ink, like the rest of the document. The word "Red" is probably really "Rec'd", an abbreviation for "received." "Richo" is probably really "Rich'd", an abbreviation for Richard. I think that what looks like "Oter" is an abbreviation for "October", which is also referenced on the second part of the document. The handwriting on this is difficult, but I think that the word that looks something like "Elaez" is actually "Essex" because of the location this document is from and because the last letter resembles the "x" in "tax." -- Tracy Christenson
