[[preprinted] WALTER PACH 148 WEST 72ND STREET NEW YORK CITY [[/preprinted]] June 7, 1942 Dear Mr. Seligmann, I need not say how troubled I am by the incident of which you write me, but I do want to affirm that I was perfectly careful and accurate in what I told you of Mr. Winthrop's remarks to me. Enclosed is a sketch for a letter which I shall send him if you approve my doing so. I send it so that you may have time to turn it over in your mind and consider whether it is advisable--either in its present form or after revision. At the first moment that I can
