1156 At 4051' DRILLING SOFT & SMOOTH AS PREVIOUSLY 12:35 To 4085, drilling slowly; one medium - hard interval 4075-80 - 11 min. (ABOUT 5') 1:00 PM to 4109 1:30 4139' SAME VERY SOFT DRILLING VERY LITTLE PRESSURE ON BIT - NO RESISTANT ZONES IN THIS 30' 2:07 4169' 2:36 4197' SAME DRILLING AS PREVIOUS - STOPPED TO REPAIR PUMP AND FILL PITS [[Following paragraphs marked with left bracket preceded by Pct]] Driller's record shows 10 min. to drill from 4015'-4020', + 11 min. from 4075'-4080'. These drilling times might represent "firm" rock. All drilling on this shift (3988'-4197') shows a slightly longer time per 5' intervals; in the magnitude of 3 to 6 min. generally. This is in contrast to the 1 min.per 5' intervals drilled previously. When another joint was added to 4195', bit plugged & while driller was washing it loose, it was decided to core at this depth instead of waiting until 4300' reached as planned. Totco check at 4197 showed 3 1/2° inclination. Totco check at 4182 showed 4° [[(3e) ??]] [[circled]] 7 [[/circled]]
