Driller's record shows 10 min. to drill from 4015'-4020', + 11 min. from 4075'-4080'. These drilling times might represent "firm" rock. All drilling on this shift (3988'-4197') shows a slightly longer time per 5' intervals;
in the magnitude of 3 to 6 min. generally. This is in contrast to the 1 min.per 5' intervals drilled previously.

When another joint was added to 4195', bit plugged & while driller was washing it loose, it was decided to core at this depth instead of waiting until 4300' reached as planned.

Totco check at 4197 showed 3 1/2°
inclination.
Totco check at 4182 showed 4°   [[(3e) ??]]
