The Chaplain being absent Brother Taylor opened the meeting with singing and Prayer afterwards the report of the (Chr'm Sick Com) ^[?] Maggie Plummer and ^[Mrs] S. Matthews reported sick After which the donations were taken up the receipts of the evening were $20.[[?]]

February 10. The Bladensburg Union Association met the house was called to order by the Pres. the meeting was opened by Singing and Prayer by the chaplain after which the roll of officers was called

After which the meeting was announced open for businese the following rules were adopted the first business of the Evening was an resolution offered by Bro. T Plummer first that we send a petetion to the grand [[strikethrough]] lodge [[/strikethrough]] council complaining on account of the repeated absence of the Deputy Marshal when he promises to meet [[?]] us here.
Second that the [[strikethrough]] inita [[/strikethrough]] fee for membership (untill otherwise ordered by the Society0 be $5.00 five dollars
third That the Secratary be empowered to notify all persons who are in Arrears to pay as soon as possible and that the society bear the expense of this proceeding Also that the Assistant Secter Secretary [[?]] help the secretary straiten the books for which her [[?]] Dues to the Society shall be paid
Fourth. That any person telling Any thing which happens in the Society to Any person not a member of this society be fined the sum of .50 cents and in default of payment Shall be excluded from the Society
Fifth That the society Shall furnish the Amount of 75 cents (per year) for [[?]] for the use of the [[?]] There being no further business the Society adjourned
