The Sunday School Congress of the National Baptist Convention of America convened in its twenty-fifth annual session Wednesday morning at 10:30 in the auditorium of the Ebenezer Baptist Church 45th St. and Vincennes Ave.nue.  Rev. J.P. Robinson, D. D., of Little Rock, Arkansas, the Chairman of the Congress, called the meet ng to order and led in congregational singing, "Leaning on the Everlasting Arms"; prayer was offered by Rev. T.J. Smith of Dayton, Ohio; song, "None but the Righteous", after which the Sunday School Congress Band from Nashville, Tenn., led by the Congress Secretary, Henry Allen Boyd, marched into the auditorium playing "Onward Christian Soldiers".  Prof. H. B. P. Johnson, the National Chorister, led the congregation in singing "Am I a Soldier of the Cross?"

Chairman Robinson made a few preliminary remarks, after which there was a thirty minutes song service conducted by Prof. H. B. P Johnson, who led in singing several selections from the National Jubilee Melody Song Book and the Victory Song Book. Dr. Robinson then presented the Congress Secretary, Henry Allen Boyd. There was an outburst of applause when he arose and came forward, and in his own unique way, he shook hands with every one in the audience. He brought greetings, information and inspiration to the large concourse of delegates, messengers and visitors who completely filled the spacious auditorium. At the conclusion of his remarks, he made announcements, read the Themes for discussion for departmental and sectional meetings for the five days, gave a general outline of subjects and work to be done in the general session each day; then he called to the platform the conductors of the sixteen departments or sections of the Sunday School Congress and presented them to the audience, giving a vivid description of the services that each performs during the entire Congress section. The Sunday School Congress Band rendered a selection, after which Rev. L. A. McIntyre of Evansville, Indiana led in singing "Working on the Building" from the National Jubilee Melody Song Book.

Rev. L. K. Williams, pastor of the Olivet Baptist Church, Chicago, was presented by the Congress Secretary, Henry Allen Boyd, and made timely remarks. Benediction was pronounced by Rev. D. J. Hull, Editorial Secretary of the National Baptist Publishing Board's Periodicals, Nashville, Tenn., and the meeting adjourned.

Wednesday-Afternoon Session

The session re-convened at 2:30 P.M., being called to order by the Chairman, Rev. J. P. Robinson. The opening song was played by the Congress Band, then the congregation, led by Prof. H. B. P. Johnson, sang "Bye and Bye, When the Morning Comes." The conductors of the various departments were called by the Secretary, Henry Allen Boyd, and again presented, after which the delegates marched out of the auditorium led by the conductors of their particular departments, to the places assigned to them for the holding of their session. They marched to spicy music by Mrs. R. B. Porter of Kansas City, Mo., the pianist for the Sunday School Congress. These departmental sessions were held until five o'clock. 

Wednesday-Night Session

From 7:30 to 8:00 there was a band concert by the Sunday School Congress Band, in front of the Ebenezer Baptist Church, then the sixteen members of the band marched into the auditorium of the church playing the Sunday School Congress Song. After rendering several selections, Chairman J. P. Robinson declared the meeting open, and turned the same over the Prof. H. B. P. Johnson, the national chorister, who had charge of the program. Prayer was offered by Rev. D. J. Hull, then the Congress Chorus, consisting of three hundred voices, sang "Our Father," from the National Baptist Anthem, and an excellent literary and musical program was rendered by Chicago's local talent, augmented by several numbers from the great Chorus. 

At the conclusion of the program benediction was pronounced by Rev. Dr. Robinson.

Thursday-Morning Session

Rev. Ernest Hall, D. D., of Cleveland, Ohio, the conductor of the Bible Conference, opened the meeting at 8:30. Devotions were conducted by Rev. D. J. Hull, prayer by Rev. T. C. Phillips, pastor of the Union Baptist Church of Detroit, Michigan. Dr. Hall read the scripture, and then spoke for one hour, electrifying his audience with his Biblical knowledge and his eloquent delivery. 

The Home Department was next in order, and Mrs. Mattie Anderson of Nashville, Tenn., the superintendent of Fireside Schools led off with a half hour's lecture on the Home Department work. The subject of her discourse was "The Sunday School's Challenge to the Unreached". Then
