Mr R. M. Abbott.
Rockingham Co N.C.

Sir

I have made a thorough calculation of all the accounts against the parties, and also of every-thing they have received from you, according to your statement, and fixed the prices on every-thing as you told me, and the freedmen stated. Therefore from a letter sent to the Freedmen you will see the whole account. You are indebted to Peter, now, without the Tobacco account, $1.^24/100 Dock is only indebted to you $23.^33/100, consequently they are entitled to some crops. Therefore you will furnish Peter with Eight barrels and four bushels of Corn at once, and Dock Swann with four barrels. I am certain that according to your statement the Tobacco now, in your possession will cover every-thing. Peter's will even run over. This you must do as I can not allow the people to suffer when they are in the right.
