Sir:
I have the honor herewith to report, that on the night of June 5" 1868, the house of Virgil Bryson freedman, living near Webster, Jackson County, was attacked by a party of men, who threw stones at the door and windows, breaking the windows, and creating alarm among the inmates.  Enclosed is the affidavit of Daniel Wilson, freed boy, touching the case.
