Asks permission to put up some writing desks, at the Freedmens School House at Greensboro N. C. for the use of the Normal Class. There are 10 Desks needed, for 30 pupils, at price of $5.00. each, made subject to inspection. States that the Govt. has had no expense heretofore in promoting Education at that place, &c &c.
