Amos G Tennant
Lt & Asst. Supt.

States that Mr R Sanders will make application for his property, on grounds that it has not been abandoned, thinks this will be a false statement. Mr. Sanders is a bitter rebel and has bragged that he will "get out of" the present lessee & the Govt rents for this year & the year past. Makes a report of a difficulty between Mr. S. & Freedmen, where injustice seems to have been done by the former. Asks instructions.

Ansrd Nov. 9"/65. The property of Mr. Sanders has been restored. The lessee will retain possession until the lease expires. Mr Sanders will be entitled to his part of the 1/4 rent due Govt. dating from the time he took the oath. For rents paid he must apply to F.A. Seely Fin. Agt. Attention called to regulations with regard to correspondence.
