Maj. Andrew Coats Officer Claim Division New Berne, N.C. Major: Jefferson Maxwell, late of Co G. 76th U. S. C. T. enquires as to his claim for bounty forwarded to you by Captain Lamberton in the latter part of 1867. Can you give any information concerning it? I also desire to know whether any additional bounty is due a soldier who enlisted April 1865, and served about six months; he had also formerly been an enlisted Cook.
