"We live in deeds, not yours, thoughts not breaths;
In feelings not in figures on a dial;
We count time by heart throbs."

He most lives, who thinks most, feels the noblest, acts best.

Let us as Missionary workers do more for God in extending the borders of our crurch [[sic]], and do more for we trust that we may be called from labor to reward before meeting here in another Annual Convention, we will meet these self-sacrificing, untiring Christian women, Missionary workers, around God's Eternal throne, where all will be one continual joy and peace.

I again thank you in [[sic]] behalf of that quiet, unassuming, yet kind, tender, sympathetic, possessing wonderful executive ability, Fannie N. Briscoe, President. I thank you in [[sic]] behalf of Bessie G. Boston, First Vice-President and Minnie L. McEaddy, Second Vice-President who are holding up the arms of the President as Aaron did Moses.

I thank you in [[sic]] behalf of M. M. Pinder and M. J. Henry, our Recording Secretaries, who record everything that is done by you in Convention, and the Corresponding Secretary, your humble servant, who gives you credit for all the money you raise, not only for the Home and Foreign Missions but for work done in your local societies at home. I thank you in [[sic]] behalf of that business-like, methodical, conscientious Treasurer, E V. Ford. I thank you in [[sic]] behalf of the Exeecutive [[sic]] Board, Martha Thompson, Margaret Stewart, E. A. Addison, C. B. Davis, Mamie Douglas, who have stood always with listening ears for the cry for help from our suffering men, and who have carried out your every wish. I thank you in [[sic]] behalf of that young woman, Mary F. Thompson, who has consecrated her life and laid it on God's altar for service in building up the work of the Young Peoples' Department. I thank you in [[sic]] behalf of our two thouscand [[sic]] self-sacrificing devoted loving Christian women of the Baltimore Conference Branch who have declared that they ne'er think the victory won, nor once at ease will trey [[sic]] sit until the battle is fought and the victory won in redeeming the world for Christ, [and?] they obtain their crown.

"For the structure that we raise,
Time is with material filled,
Ours [[sic]] todays and yesterdays
Are the blocks with which we build.
Build today then strong and sure,
With a firm and ample base
And ascending secure shall to-morrow find its place.
Remembering we are working for a great cause;
Though scoffers ask: "Where is your gain,"
And mocking say "Your work is in vain,"
Such scoffers die and are forgot;
Work done for God dieth not."
