We all went down to the Point tonight to give Naish a sendoff. He left on the "Gneisnau" a little after ten, after a gathering at the Grand(?) Hotel de l'Europe, and we went out to the dampfer to give him a parting yell. His first stage is Naples, then the States, and from there he wants to go to Chiny, but of course after he gets a good whiff of the States he'll stay there, like 90 per cent of 'em do. Cheer up , Naish, when you hear that old familiar dirge, you won't think of it as "God save the Kink," but "my country, 'tis of thee."

For the first time in y'ars I put foot within the sacred precincts of the club tonight. Belle gave a dinner, and it was not to be passed up. After dinner Meek and Parker "bridged" with the ladies, which tickled everyone but the ladies exceedingly. At twelve we beat it.
