Nothin' diddin', as usual. A Benian funeral went by, and I went over to the Gymkhana, where Madamoiselle Ries and I licked Adolphe & Bardey one love set. They've got no guts, those Frenchies!

You know, the natives here can't pronounce Bardey's name, and in the vernacular here his joint is know as "Bait Bordel." What O!

Winckler and I went down to Maala shopping this morning. We looked over Hassan Ali's rugs, and after being nearly stifled, I bot two. One I'm going to get him to take back,- it's 16 feet by 8, and whatever got into me to buy that colossus, damfino. It might do for a ropewalk at home, but not for our flat.
