Present indications point to my going up to Mombasa on the German tomorrow week,- I'll stay there probably a month or five weeks, and then turn me fratz homeward bound. I'm not stuck on the Mombasa idea, much, but on the other hand, I want to stay out long enough so's to get home at the beginning of the warm weather. I'm going to book my passage soon as I get to Mombasa, and relieve myself of my Suez and Cape troubles. I'm a regular old woman, and even more tiresome, on those subjects.

Turn over the Gescheft to Vining on Monday.

I am a devil. But this has been only the first time. I actually put my arm around a married woman. Damit, she asked me to. But that was all I did. Thank 'evin, I've only six more days here, so I consider meself safe. This was in the afternoon. We had a party of six at dinner,- set the table without the cover - out the dishes on doileys, etc, - and it did look splendid! The old Creeper turned out a dinner that would have made old Gastronomicus himself weep with envy. He has got more "come-out" to him than any other cook in the Sultan's dominion.

I wouldn't have done that much but you know what happened to gossip!
