When I sang Clementine with Alfred and Willing, all the rest of the boys stared at me as though I had been I don't know what and finally Stanlie said he would take me in his minstral show which he thought of having next year. I was very much flattered. The boys played in the barn and let me be there stable keeper when it was horse they played, and their judge when it was a horseshow.

We had lunch in the dining room of the house, and a very jolly lunch it was too.  We all talked at once and altogether had a lovely time. After lunch the playing went on in the barn, and the time passed so quickly the afternoon was over before we knew it.
