Report on the affairs of the Union Club, Aden, for the half year ending 30th June 1908.

Bar account. 
This account shows a profit of Rs. 1,627-0-3 for the half year, against a profit of Rs. 2,225-9-3 in the previous half year. 

Table account. 
This account shows a loss of Rs. 562-4-2 for the half year, against a loss of Rs. 167-13-8 in the previous half year. 

Billiard account. 
This account shows a profit of Rs. 166-0-0 for the half year, against a profit of Rs. 60-6-0 in the previous half year. There is at present a credit balance of Rs. 692-7-3 in favour of this account. 

Library account. 
This account shows a loss of Rs. 42-3-0 for the half year, against a loss of Rs. 132-5-0 in the previous half year. There is at present a Credit Balance of Rs. 183-3-1 in favour of this account. 

Property account. 
This account has been decreased by Rs. 73-5-11 having on 30th June 1908, a Credit balance of Rs. 13,218-7-11 after writing off Rs. 687-10-5 depreciation for the half year @ 5% per half year. 

Band Fund account. 
This account shows a loss of Rs. 315-1-9 for the half year, against a loss of Rs. 22-12-9 for the previous half year. 

Establishment account. 
This account shows a loss of Rs. 2,795-6-11 for the half year, against a loss of Rs. 2,123-15-0 for the previous half year. This loss includes Rs. 222-15-6 for Interest, Rs. 72-9-0 for Repairs, Rs. 312-0-0 Passage paid to Manager, and Rs. 369-2-0 Paid to Mr. Berridge for making Plans and Estimates for additions &c., to the Club House. Whilst the Subscription stands at Rs. 7/- and Band Rs. 1-8/-, totalling Rs. 8-8/- in all, the loss Cannot be avoided, as this account pays for the Club rent, stationery, lighting, water, punkha coolie's and other servants; excepting cook, Butlers, Barmen and Billiard Markers. It also pays the wages of the Manager and the Clerk, washing, newspapers and sundry repairs and renewals. As Compared with the Corresponding six months January to June 1907, there is a loss of Rs. 1,425-5-0 in subscription alone. 

Card account. 
This account shows a profit of Rs. 3-6-3 for the half year, against a profit of Rs. 113-5-0 in the previous half year.
