period exceeding three months shall be deemed to be a resident.

6.  The Club shall be managed by a Committee of six Members, who shall be elected at the Annual General Meeting, four of whom shall fill the offices of President, Vice-President, Honorary Treasurer and Honorary Secretary.  Should a vacancy or vacancies occur on the Committee, such vacancy or vacancies shall be filled by ballot of the members of the club.

7.  The Annual General Meeting shall be held in February of each year.  Notice of such meeting with detailed accounts for the past year shall be sent as far as possible to each resident member not less than seven days before the date of such meeting.

8.  A Special General Meeting can be called at any time by the Committee, or on a requisition made to the Honorary Secretary in writing and signed by at least ten members.  The subject of the meeting must also be stated and no other subject can be discussed at such meeting.  Not less then seven days' notice must be given of a Special General Meeting.

9.  The Committee shall have power to make and enforce Bye-laws for the proper working of the Club.

10.  The Entrance Fee for all Members except Cricket and Football members shall be Rs. 50.  Payable - if desired - in three quarterly instalments of Rs. 20 in the quarter of election and Rs. 15 in each of the two succeeding quarters.

11.  Subscriptions payable in advance shall be:
Resident playing member ... Rs. 15 per quarter.

Cricket " [[ditto for: member]] ... " [[ditto for: Rs]] 6 " [[ditto for: per quarter or Rs. 3 per momnth

Temporary Members Rs. 8 per month or Rs. 2 per week.
Naval officers shall be Honorary Members so long as their ship lies in harbour.
Playing members not resident in Mombasa during an entire quarter shall pay Rs. 6 per month, or part thereof exceeding 14 days, and for any part of a month not exceeding 14 days shall pay Rs. 2 per week or part thereof, and non-playing members shall pay similarly Rs. 3 per month or Re 1 per week.
Provided that no member shall be required to pay a subscription if he is in Mombasa for less than three days.

12.  Ladies may be introduced by members and shall be allowed the use of the Sports Club and Tennis Courts and Pavilions on a payment of Rs. 2 per quarter if non-playing and Rs. 8 per quarter if playing without Entrance Fee.  Lady members are not entitled to vote at a General Meeting or to sit on the Committee.

13.  Quarterly subscriptions fall due on 1st January, 1st April, 1st July and 1st October and should be paid to the Honorary Treasurer as soon after these dates as possible.

14.  The name of any member whose subscription remains unpaid fifteen days after the date on which it falls due, will, after due warning from the Honorary Treasurer, be posted in the Mombasa Club and in the Club Pavilion and in default of payment within one month after his subscription has become payable the said member shall cease to be a member of the Mombasa Sports Club. The Committee shall have power to suspend this Rule if they think fit
