Went to B. got 0 Harold J stayed all night here. we furnished all the gas oil & car Harner and Reba treated to Bars and bought all the food but .45 I got potato chips & cup cakes. Harner got 10 gal. of gas $2.25 [[onto second page]] for his car. [[end page]] [[start page]] [[preprinted]] 1949 SATURDAY 18 JUNE 169th Day 196 Days to come [[/preprinted]] we got up early and ate Breakfast Then left for the south at 8:22 and drove over 350 miles until 10.45 P.M. went to Gallipolis ate our lunch then drove by the river to Pomeray. we bought our supper there to take to a roadside park. we ate at 5.30 9 miles from Pomeray in a park High on a hill overlooking the highway. It was lovely. We also saw the Hogan Elm which has a span of almost 200 ft. It is braced with cables all over but it was nice to see it. we had a lovely trip we had to change a tire in col. .50
