Dear Mrs. Porter:

I just returned from Florida, and in going over pending matters I find a memorandum to communicate with you in regard to the painting of Charles Shannon, which I tried to show to you before my departure for the south.

As I understood from Len Hanna, you were interested especially in one, a landscape, if I am correct. Shannon has acclaimed a great deal of enthusiasm, and I am sure his exhibition will be a great success.

To be sure that I am in when you call, would you kindly be good enough to have your secretary phone me at the above, Plaza 3-0250 as to when I may ex- pect your visit.

Kindly remember me to Cole, whose condition I hope is steadily improving, and believe me to be, with my best compliments,

Most faithfully

(Rolf H. Waegen)
