Dear Mr. Furthman:

It has been some time now since we have corresponded, much less since I have had the pleasure of seeing you, but I am writing you at this time because I would like to take up with you again the question of certain paintings and drawings in your collection which we had discussed some years back with reference to your disposing of some of them.

At that time you had set certain prices on these items which I felt were too high and out of scale with current prices, and this holds even more true today than it did three years ago.

Therefore, if you still feel inclined to dispose of some of your things, I think we might be most interested at certain prices, or at least we could handle these items for your account.

Herewith the list of the items that would interest us, and for which we fell we might have sales outlet:

PICASSO water-color "Contemplation" (which you had sent us for our Picasso Exhibition in 1936)

PICASSO oil "Classical Head"

PICASSO drawing "Three Graces"

ROUAULT water-color "Judges"

ROUAULT oil "Woman"

MATISSE "Flower Carnival at Nice"
