Dear Mr. Furthman:

We have had several inquiries and demands for pictures other than Picassos during the present exhibition. Amongst these we have ad a very serious demand for a Daumier, and it occurred to me that as you were inclined to part with your Picasso, you might also be willing to sell your Daumier.

I do not recall very clearly the exact details and size of your picture, so if you would be willing to part with it, I should appreciated your sending me a photograph together with all the information and data connected with it, and also the price you would want for it. As I recall, this picture comes from the Rouart Collection. I should appreciate your letting me know about this at your earliest convenience.

Regarding your Picasso, I will keep you posted of further developments.

I read with sorrow of the death of your brother, for which please accept my heartfelt sympathy.

With cordial greetings, I am

Yours sincerely,

(Robert M. Levy)
