This is just one short line to let you know that by same mail I am forwarding to Messrs Lefebvre-Foinet my firm's check #974 on J.P. Morgan & Co., New York in the amount of $525.- (Five hundred and twenty-five 00/100 dollars) to your order.

This check is in full payment of your invoice of March 28th in the amount of French francs 185.000 (One hundred and eighty-five thousand French francs) for two drawings

one by Joseph Vernet "Landscape"
one watercolor by Carmontelle "Man Portrait".

I assume that prompt payment to you should thus be available.
