Dear Mr. Baderou:

I only now noticed that I forgot to post you about the further negotiations as regards the DAVID which in view of your good offices I should have done earlier. The results anyway were in the negative, for Cailleux maintained the price he had previously quoted.

As long as I have this opportunity of writing, let me say in all frankness that I am rather surprised not to have heard anything further from you about the RAPHAEL drawing.

Over three weeks ago, I told you of my correspondence with Mr. Byam Shaw and I would have thought that you would at least acknowledge my lines and let me know whether you had heard from him and what transpired from his visit or correspondence.

Though I realize that you have no secretary and you are not a great letter writer, it would not have taken you much time to send me a few lines.

Yours very sincerely,

Germain Seligman
