September 15, 1952

Dear Mrs. Gomes:

I was indeed glad to receive at last your cable as well as your letter of September 12, which arrived a few minutes ago.

Your letter from Augtria, having never reached me I was truly wondering whether you were not seriously sick, and am delighted to know it is not the case.

You do not mention the long letter I wrote you on July 22, but I do hope you received it.

May I remind you of the fact that you have not communicated to me any further data as regards the pedigree of the marble statue. You were to receive further news from Switzerland, but what it was I do not know.

May I also remind you of the other items I had mentioned to you in that same letter:

Cognacq "Plaque de Psautier"
Small article head, Avignon, Nogues.
Lami - Mme. Ancel
Barbizon school watercolors and drawings.
Gazette Hotel Drouot

May I add that you do not have to write to me as I expect to be in Paris, during the week of the 22nd to the 27th, but probably just for a couple of days, and shall be stopping at the HOTEL LOTTI, at which time I certainly hope to see you and we can take up together these different matters.

Thanks for the data as regards the Monet of Duveen Brothers; at this price I think it looks very well on their own walls.

I also received the two photographs from Monte Carlo, but please remind me of the prices for the "Cinquades" and for the shield.

Saying a bientot and with best regards to you and your husband,

Yours very sincerely,

(Germain Seligmann)
