My dear Mrs. Lloyd:

Just a line to tell you how deeply I appreciate your very kind reception when I came to your house yesterday. You cannot imagine how badly I feel to have arrived at four o'clock for a ten-thirty appointment, and I certainly hope that you have forgiven me.

Do let me know when you come to New York, as I would be so happy to see you again, and if you should have a few moments to give me, we could look at paintings together.

With my kindest regards,

(René Seligmann)
