Dear Mr. Pulitzer:

As our Picasso Exhibition has just closed, we are shipping your Picasso, "Arlequin" back to you today or tomorrow.

I wish to take this opportunity of thanking you most heartily for the loan of this picture which was tremendously admired by all who saw it, and I only regret that we were unable to reproduce it in the catalogue due to its late inclusion, as it is a very beautiful and fine example of the period.

To give you some idea of the response and interest shown in this exhibition, we had an attendance of between five and six thousand people.

With renewed thanks for your generosity and kind cooperation in this enterprise, I am

Yours very sincerely,

(Germain Séligmann)
