Grenville Wintrhop, Esq.,
27 East 37th St.,
New York City

Dear Mr. Winthrop:

Please do not think that I want to bother you, but I forgot to show you two things when you were in here yesterday.

One was a very fine small full length portrait of Napoleon in his coronation robes (36 3/4" high by 24 1/4" wide) by Louis David. It is not only interesting historically, but it is also a wonderful piece of painting and drawing. It is signed and dated 1807, which was one year after David painted his masterpiece in the Louvre " The Coronation of Josephine ". This picture was evidently executed for one of the members of the Imperial family, and it is in perfect condition. It formerly belonged to the private collection of Sir Richard Wallace.

The other thing I wanted you to see was a very fine [[underline]] small [[/underline]] late Gothic Tapestry, very beautiful in design and quite brilliant in color. As you know, small tapestries of this period are extremely rare.

If you have a few moments to spare sometime during the coming week, I would very much like to show you these things, but if you feel that you are not interested, please ignore this letter.

Taking this opportunity to again thank you for your very kind visit,

With my best regards,

Believe me to be,

Yours very truly,
