C. A. McGregor, Esq.,
387 Southern Blvd.,
Bronx, N.Y.

Dear Mr. McGregor:

Referring to the telephone communications you have had with Mr. Jucker, it now appears that the letter you received regarding the Gothic Mantel was from Jean Seligmann and not from Jacques Seligmann & Company.

Anyhow, I am sending you a photograph of a very fine Gothic mantel which was the center-piece of our Gothic Hall when we were at 55th Street, but owing to lack of space we have not been able to set it up in our present premises. It is now packed up in our basement here, but I herewith enclose you a photograph of it with full particulars and its dimensions.

We were originally asking $12,000.- for it, but in view of present conditions we would accept $7,000.-. At this price it is a wonderful bargain, as it is in very fine condition.

Regretting that owing to the misunderstanding you have had so much trouble in this matter, and awaiting the pleasure of hearing from you in reply to this letter, believe me to be

Yours very truly,

JACQUES SELIGMANN & COMPANY, Inc.
