Dear Mr. Baskett:

By same mail, but under separate cover, I take pleasure in forwarding to you a pamphlet containing a black and white print, as well as complete bibliographical data of the painting by

[[underline]]TOULOUSE-LAUTREC[[/underline]].

With it you will also find a colored transparency.

The price of this work of art is $95,000 (Ninety-Five Thousand Dollars).

Besides its aesthetic merit, it is to my belief one of the last, if not possibly the last, of the physically important compositions of the artist, as it measures over four feet in height.

You will also realize that since its inception it only passed through two collections. I personally purchased it directly from the heirs of Henri Bernstein, the late well-known French playwright.

Thanking you in advance for calling these documents to Mr. Paul Mellon's attention, and with best regards,

Sincerely yours,

Germain Seligman
