November 22nd., 1940.

Dear Mr. Phipps,

I have just received your letter of November 18th., and wish to thank you for the kind thought which prompted it.

Unfortunately at this present writing we are not free to send the picture out to California as negotiations are under way in respect to the "Apple Seller".

Should we at a later date be at liberty to act I would be only too pleased to communicate with you.

Yours very truly,

(Germain Séligmann)
