New York.

Dear Mr Seligmann,

Out of all the addresses you mentioned to me, the only possibility is the Gozzoli belonging to Lady Kerr.

I say possibility because she does not want to sell the painting, but I rather have the feeling that a big price might tempt her. I have been up to the house and had lunch there and will be quite willing to try for you. I would think that you would have to offer £15,000 if there is to be any chance at all. The painting has been cleaned since it was in the exhibition and seems to be in fine state.

Let me know what you think about this. Otherwise nothing of any importance has turned up recently.

With kind regards, I am,
yours sincerely,
E.J. Speelman [[signature]]
