Mr. Germain Seligman
5 East 57th Street
New York 22, New York

Dear Germain,

When Franklin Murphy was here last week I discussed with him your proposal and our delightful conversation. He has suggested that since all of our publishing is in the hands of the Phaidon Press, I discuss this matter with Harvey Miller to receive his views in the matter. When I have heard from him, I will get in touch with you and we will talk further on this.

Mrs. Seligman called me this morning to invite me to lunch on Saturday and I shall be delighted to be with you. I hope, however, that you will explain to her the restricted diet I am on as I don't want to offend her. Since you may not remember, I am able to eat only a piece of meat or fish.

With kindest regards.

Sincerely yours,
