November 3, 1960

Mr. Paul Studenski
290 Avenue of the Americas
New York 14, N.Y.

Dear Paul:

In checking over the names of our members who made their first solo flights fifty years ago, I found yours among the very first.

I am sure you are familiar with the decision of the Board of Trustees of the Early Birds to award a Fifty-Year bronze plaque to members who piloted an airplane fifty years ago. Therefore, I had a plaque made for you and would like to present it to you any time at your convenience.

The OX5 Club of New York is sponsoring a pioneer aviators reunion at the Roosevelt Field Shopping Center in Mineola on Saturday night, November 12th, 1960, in the Horn & Hardart restaurant. Many of your old friends in aviation are expected to be there and if agreeable to you, I would like to present this plaque to you at that time.

I have undertaken the preparation of a press release giving the facts about this affair, however, I am going to ask you to make any corrections or additions necessary, in order to give you the publicity which is due you.

If you can arrange to release this information to the press, please see that it reaches the two important newspapers on Long Island, the NEWSDAY which is published in Garden City by Mr. Harry Guggenheim and the other the Long Island Daily Press which is published on 168th Street in Jamaica.

Accuracy is the all important thing, therefore I am calling on you to help me out in preparing this release.
Anything you prepare will have my approval.

With all good wishes and hoping to see you and your friends at Roosevelt Field on the evening of November 12th, I am

Sincerely, [[signature]]
