^[[99]] STUDENSKY IN A LONG FLIGHT [[line]] Paul Studensky made a flight yesterday afternoon between 4 and 5 o'clock that has never been equaled before in this locality for endurance. Starting at 4 o'clock Mr. Studensky arose to the hight of about a thousand feet and circling over the aviation grounds twice he started off in a southwestern direction down the island, following the beach for the distance of ten miles , he then turned around and started back for the hanger at a pace of 70 miles an hour, returning to the aviation grounds in less than twenty minutes after he started. After again circling the field he decided to continue his flight a little longer as his engine was working fine and he had enough gasoline in his tank for another fifteen or twenty miles. This time he followed parctically the same course he had taken in his first relay, going but six or seven miles down the beach this time however. [[underline]]Studensky decended at five minutes to 5 o'clock having been in the air for forty-five minutes.[[/underline]] The big Beech-Farman biplane that was just completed last week made its initial flight yesterday after leaving the Aeroplane workshop. Mr. Worden flew the monster machine( said to e the largest in America) at the same time that Studensky was in the air and demonstrated the feasability of the large machine. Next [[underline]]Sunday Studenski in his old race horse that he has been wont to make all his flights in and[[/underline]] Aviator Worden in his new Bierlot monoplane that was completed this morning will fly out over the mainland to meet DeKor the aviator, who is going to fly in the race from Houston, and will escort him [[torn page, probably "to"]] the aviation field, where a very ext[[torn page, probably "ensive"]] program will be carried out.
