BIRDMEN IN AIR
[[short line]]

Studensky and Worden Make Flights in Curtis and Bleriot Machines - Impromptu Program Carried Out.
[[short line]]

Hundreds of pairs of eyes were turned skyward Sunday, both morning and afternoon, focused upon birdmen of the National Aviation Company as they soared in machines of the Curtis and Bleriot types. At the aviation grounds an impromptu program was arranged in the afternoon, witnessed by a fairly good audience.

Studensky, in a Curtis type machine, made several spectacular flights, ending in a demonstration of bomb throwing. Worden, in the magnificent Bleriot machine, made several successful flights, although he was seriously hindered by foggy conditions which prevailed during the later part of the afternoon.

In the morning Studensky made an over-city flight, about 11:30 o'clock, following the coast line outside of the city as far east as Fort San Jacinto, and returning to the aviation grounds at Denver beach. Worden took out the Bleriot in the morning for a trial flight down the beach. This machine recently landed in gulf waters and was on its first flight since being put in condition by the company's superintendent of construction, Lester V. Bratton.
