[[underlined]] Accessions. [[/underlined]]

The number of entries made in the Bird Catalogue during August is 987 (Museum Register Nos. 113895 to 114881 inclusive), the principal accessions being as follows:-

[[underlined]] H. W. Henshaw, [[/underlined]] Washington, D.C., 196 specimens, 120 species, from North America.(Exchange).

[[underlined]] H. V. Henson, [[/underlined]] Yokohama, Japan., the type specimen of [[underlined]] Parus palustris hensoni Stejn. [[/underlined]] (Gift).

[[underlined]] P. L. Jouy, [/[underlined]] Washington, D.C., 651 specimens, 172 species, from Korea, and Tsushima, Japan. This is one of the most valuable and interesting collections ever acquired by the Museum, being, as it is, the result of several years of intelligent collecting in the hitherto ornithologically entirely unexplored country. Besides some undescribed forms, the collection contains a number of very rare species represented in but few museums, as for instance, [[underlined]] Platalea minor, Herodias eulophotes, Lanius sphenocercus, Otis dybouskii, Ciconia, boyciana, [[/underlined]]
