Mountain Bluebird.

This was probably the most abundant bird onthe high mesa that formed the summit of the Chusca Mountains and the birds were encountered constantly in traveling through the open forest. By June 30 young birds were everywhere emerging from the nests and the adults scolded me constantly. These bluebirds remained active through the cold drizzling rains that were common here, not seeming tomind them though most of the smaller species remained in shelter at such times.
