ADDRESS REPLY TO
CHIEF, BUREAU OF BIOLOGICAL SURVEY,
AND REFER TO[[/preprinted]]

May 24, 1918.

Dr. Alex. Wetmore,

El Vado, New Mexico.

My dear Wetmore:

Your report on investigations at San Antonio has been safely received and it is unfortunate that you were unable to obtain better results from your visit to Dr. Campbell.

Your manuscript on the Structure of the Palate in the Icteridae was approved for publication and the copy you left with me mailed to Dr. Stone.

The Bureau library has been unable to locate two copies of the Emu which are charged to you. I wonder whether you recall just what was done with these?

The subject of bird bands came up since you left and upon looking for your stock found one box of about 100, which would seem to be those immediately following those you used at Great Salt Lake. Will you need these this summer? If you will have use for them they will be sent at once.

A personal letter will shortly follow this.

Very truly yours,
