Remaining Mall Site Public Law 94-74, approved August 8, 1975, reserved the last remaining building site on the Mall for use by the Smithsonian for public purposes subject to Congressional approval. Presently, there are no long-range plans for this area. It is expected that the site will continue to be used for temporary exhibitions and other purposes by federal and other organizations.
