A transfer of $428,000 to unrestricted funds is projected as the Institution's share of the proceeds from the NASM Langley Theatre.

Income to [[underlined]] Restricted purpose Trust Funds [[/underlined]] will increase by over $700,000 due to (1) increased endowment income payout under total return (+5 percent or $112,000) as approved by the Board last May and (2) substantial gifts anticipated for exhibition production and collections acquisition at the National Museum of Natural History. Adjusting for the payment in FY 1982 to Harbor Branch Foundation of accumulated prior year Johnson Endowment Fund income, expenditures are expected to increase by over $1.3 million. These are primarily associated with grants to the National Museum of Natural History for exhibit production, gifts to the Hirshhorn Museum for collections acquisitions and the Kellogg Foundation grant to the Office of Museum Programs to strengthen the educational role of museums. [[underlined]] Federal Grants and Contracts [[/underlined]] are expected to remain at approximately the same level ($13 million) as in FY 1982. The reduction from previous higher estimates reflects the uncertainty concerning future funding levels for space science programs at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration.
