That is instead of taking the work in its largness and promise and urgency and laying it home to the hearts of the churches when it would meet a sure response, they are taking the opposite line and freezing out all interest & support. I say it is astounding folly.

Things go so that there is little satisfaction in trying to keep along with the work. Indeed I have the feeling that my connection with it may possibly be quite short.
