June 15th.1891.

Miss Alice C. Fletcher,
Special Allotting Agent,
Fort Lapwai, Idaho.

My Dear Miss Fletcher; -

Your recent letters have been received and read with care and interest. I am especially obliged for the one (June 6th.) that came this morning, and have telegraphed both agent and Supt. not to allow the dances, and the latter to go on with the fence.

I fully agreed with your views about the desirability of the new building, and as you very likely know by this time, have ordered its erection, and hope it will be pressed on with all diligence.

In regard to the other matter - the acre of ground &c. - I will take it up and work it right through just as speedily as I can, and I hardly need assure you that I feel great interest in having your plans or wishes carried out there. Your practical suggestions are of great benefit to me and your clear statements help me to understand the situation as I could not otherwise.

Hoping that your onerous duties will not quite wear you out and that you may keep will, I am

Yours sincerely
