Mt. Idaho Sept 22d 1891

My dear Miss Fletcher

I have been and am [[underlined]] so disappointed [[/underlined]]. I was so sure you and Miss Gay would be here while my sister was in Mr. I. at least. But I know you have tried your best. And my heart has been with you in all the hindrances & trials you have had to meet. Dear friend - do [[underlined]] I [[/underlined]] not [[underlined]] know [[/underlined]]? I have been expecting you and Miss Gay in Mr. Idaho for months and will surely expect to see you ere long if God wills.

I send a copy of Extract of Report of the Foreign Board that my dear friend may know that the Board appreciates what she has done for us. I send with my sister some "Myths of the Columbia River Indians" which may interest you. If there is anything I can do, to help or comfort - please tell me dear friend and, if in my power I will do it. May [[underlined]] God bless [[/underlined]] you for all the [[underlined]] help [[/underlined]] and [[underlined]] comfort [[/underlined]] you and Miss Gay have been to sister & myself, and what you have done for the Masters Cause among the Nez Perces. With much love to Miss Gay

Lovingly yours.
