Dear Miss Fletcher:

I got your Omaha letter in due time; but did not answer it sooner as you were uncertain about your address. By the time this reaches Washington, I suppose you will have returned.

I thank you for your offer to make the slides for me; but I think I shall not have occasion to avail myself of it. I did not like to leave Washington in a state of uncertainty, so I had slides made by a Mr. Ross in the Geological Survey at a very reasonable rate. I had some slides already on hand that suited my purpose! I have now 12 illustrations.
