Miss Alice C. Fletcher,
Washington, D.C.

Dear Miss Fletcher:

We arrived home alright and I now send you the $10.00 I borrowed. I have inquired at the hotel in regard to rooms, you can get one room on first floor 13 X 15 and board for $9.50 per week or two rooms on second floor one 12 X 14 and one 11 X 12 and board for $12.00 per week, these rooms are not connected by a door, however I have seen our old friend Sitting Bull, he is glad you are coming. He is now having his lodge repaired to have the ceremony of the Buffalo dance when you arrive. He thinks that upon his death he will leave his Sacred Bundle etc. in your care for safe keeping.

As to the Skee-dee priest I am afraid that the rituals of the Skee-dee sacred bundles will be hard to get. They do not like to give a the rituals in a box house, therefor, I do not think we can get them. They do not like to give it so close to home, if you could ^[[get]] the old priest back there or some place away from home I think you might get ^[[them.]]

About that song I repeated over to you when I was there, I find there is a young woman here who knows it and I think you can get it when you come.

Hoping the explanation of these things ^[[are]] satisfactory. I remain

Yours very truly,
